Committee Overview

Being a part of committee is a great way to get involved in the Lyndale Neighborhood. Committees are where most of the work is done and are a place where you can really make an impact. To get involved in a committee contact any of the people below or just show up at a meeting and see what you think.

Board

The Lyndale Neighborhood Association Board of Directors is made up of up to 11 members, half of whom are elected at the Neighborhood Annuel Meeting each June for a 2-year term.  Anyone over the age of 18 years of age who lives, works, or owns property in the Lyndale Neighborhood is eligible to be on the Board, although the President needs to have served at least one year on the board prior to being elected president.

Those who volunteer to be on the Board are expected to:

• Attend and actively participate in a monthly Board meeting.

• Attend neighborhood meetings and encouraged to particpate in an LNA Committee.

• Represent the vision, mission, and values of the Organization.

• Engage in outreach and recruiting

• Help secure resources.

Economic Sustainability Committee

This committee was created to assist and stabilize existing business as well as participate in the development of new businesses in the Lyndale Neighborhood.  Members of this committee include local residents, business owners and other interested parties.

The committee meets the last Wednesday of the Month from 6-7 p.m.  We welcome any interested parties.  If you would like more information, please contact Norma at 612-824-9402, ext. 15
