General Raffles Contests
First Time Attendee Raffle (Sign up – at registration desk)
Passport activity: (Pick up at registration table, drop off at LNA Table) We are going to have small passports with activities in them, when people complete four activities they get one raffle ticket, when they complete all eight they get two raffle tickets.
Sign-up to be a Sustaining Member – Sign up to become a Sustaining Member at the Open House and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a gift card from Platinum Car Wash Gift Card from BP Amoco worth $160.
Games and Activities
Everyone who attends the Open House gets one game ticket, additional tickets can be purchased for $.25. All games cost one ticket.
Around Lyndale in 80 Seconds: Acake walk by another name. Feel free to bring a baked good to share for this activity.
Global Fish Pond: Toss the fishing pole over the fish screen and get a prize. It’s that easy. We ordered a bunch of prizes from Oriental Trading for these games.
Bean Bag Toss: Throw bags of beans / win prizes
Cuantos: Guess how much money from around the world is worth in dollars.
Plinko – The YMCA will be back with Plinko this year.
Wii - Painter Park will have their Wii and big inflatable screen.
Face painting, planting - Youth Farm will have both face painting and planting activities
Language Game – The Lyndale ESL Program is going to have a game where people can learn phrases in other languages

Join us at the May General Membership meeting to hear from Minneapolis Mayoral candidates Mark Andrew & Cam Winton, learn about the noise mitigation process for the I35W Access project, and Avenues for Youth. We will also be having a community vote on a request from Teen Challenge for a variance for expansion of services.
Monthly Committee Meeting for the LNA Environment Committee. The Environment Committee meets on the first Tuesday of the Month.

Volunteer Spotlight
Neighborhood Beautifiers:
On Saturday, May 4th from 10am to 1pm LNA's Environment Committee will host its annual Litter Outta Lyndale. This event brings neighbors together to pick up the debris uncovered by the melting snow. Come to the Lyndale Community Center (3537 Nicollet) anytime between 10-1 and enjoy some breakfasty treats, get a bag, gloves, and a route and pitch in for this great neighborhood clean up.
