Twin City Tattoo - Business Profile

Erik, Jessica, and Mike
Norma Pietz

Twin City Tattoo at 3131 Nicollet Avenue South is the oldest tattoo shop in Minnesota that offers tattooing and piercing. This shop was started in 1976 by Dave Yurkew; in 2006 his son Mike and Eric Silverman took over the business. They invested a great deal of money in the property and were the first Lyndale business to sign up for the Walldogs Project, ending up with a gorgeous mural on the exterior of their building.

The business hours are noon to 10:00pm, seven days a week.  They have a large selection of body jewelry and tattoo care products available. Through July 4th tattooing of names is $50 and a common piercing is $40, jewelry included. During the time of parking restrictions for the Nicollet Avenue improvements there will be parking available in the back parking lot for customers.

When asked what he liked best about the business Eric said “all the new and interesting people I meet everyday”. Eric has been involved with the Lyndale Neighborhood Business Association, Nicollet Avenue Reconstruction, Lyndale Bike Rack Program, contributing to the Lyndale Neighborhood Association Fundraisers and other activities when his time allows.

Remember that our businesses along the Nicollet corridor especially need you to connect with them during the time the street is under repair.
