Nicollet Update for July 10th
The work at the 35th and Nicollet intersection has started. The closure is expected to last 2 weeks, weather dependent. This week Thomas and Sons will be working on the underground structures. Next week they will begin to work on grading and rebuilding the intersection. While the intersection is closed, the rest of Nicollet Ave will remain open. All businesses will be open.
The first phase of the 2012 Nicollet Ave reconstruction, between Lake St and 32nd St, is open with one lane in each direction. There may be parking restrictions at times while crews complete pouring the new sidewalk around tree grates and installing signs and new streetlights.

OTHER CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION
CenturyLink is working on their manhole on 32nd St E near the alley. This is likely to take approximately a week to complete. More information will be shared as it’s available.
Minneapolis Water may begin cleaning and lining the water main between 32nd St and 36th St starting tomorrow. The cleaning and lining work is expected to take about a week. Following the cleaning and lining, they will need to replace the sections of main removed for the cleaning and lining process and do testing before they can change services back to the main from the temporary main. More information will be shared as it’s available.
Minneapolis Traffic should be finishing pouring signal foundations at Lake St and 31st St this week. When that work is completed, the sidewalk work at those intersections will be able to be completed. They will also be working on installing the new street lighting between Lake St and 32nd St.
