Book Fest

  • Date: Monday, April 28, 2025
  • Time: 6-8pm
  • Location: Horn Towers (3110 Blaisdell Ave)
  • Free Book Fair: Browse through a treasure trove of secondhand books without spending a dime! LNA is collecting gently used books for you to take home. Whether you’re a fan of fiction, non-fiction or looking for children’s books, there is something for everyone!
  • Family Story Time: This is an event for the whole family! Hosmer Library will host a delightful family story time centered around themes of nature and storytelling.
  • Storytelling Collage and radio interviews for “Stories of Lyndale”.

The Lyndale Neighborhood Association is now collecting like-new and gently used fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. We are specifically interested in books written in a language other than English or written with a diverse, multicultural lens.

We are not accepting: textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines or newspapers. This is a family-friendly event, so please do not bring explicit or x-rated books.

To contribute books to this event, please bring them to one of our drop off locations:

  • SNAC Office (3537 Nicollet Ave) during LNA’s regular business hours (Tuesday, April 8 and Thursday April 10, 9am – 4pm) or by appointment, email info@lyndale.org to schedule.
  • Blaisdell YMCA (3335 Blaisdell Ave) during regular business hours.
  • Email info@lyndale.org or call 612-824-9402 to coordinate home book pickup in the Lyndale neighborhood area.

Any books of high-quality that are left at the end of Book Fest will be collected and redistributed to neighborhood Little Free Libraries by LNA’s Crime & Safety Committee.
