Volunteer with the Lyndale Neighborhood Association!
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Join the Lyndale Neighborhood Association as a volunteer! Together, we can build a safe, vibrant, and sustainable neighborhood.
Volunteer Opportunities
Classroom Volunteers in the Lyndale Education Program assist professional teachers in leading groups of adult learners. Classroom volunteers commit to 2-3 hours/week on a year-round schedule. No teaching experience is required, but it can be helpful! Volunteers complete a 12-hour virtual training through Literacy Minnesota on their own time.
The Lyndale Education Program is an adult basic education program that provides high-quality English and Computer Basics instruction to students in Lyndale and the surrounding neighborhoods while helping students become more connected to their community.

The Lyndale Neighborhood Association (LNA) is looking for outgoing Lyndale neighbors to become Block Connectors!
Help spread the word about LNA events and opportunities by:
- Create and manage a Block email list
- Send a monthly email to your neighbors
- Hang or distribute flyers throughout your block a few times annually
We anticipate that volunteers will spend less than 1 hour per month on Block Connector tasks.
As a Lyndale Block Connector, you will serve as an important link between LNA and your neighbors. Ready to sign up? Complete the Block Connector Signup Form and an LNA Board Member will be in touch with you. Questions? Reach out to LNA Board Member, Stephen McHenry, at m_c_henry@hotmail.com.
LNA Committees are community-led opportunities to become an active participant in your neighborhood. All neighbors and neighborhood business-owners are welcome to join!
Our Committees are: Crime & Safety, Environment, Engagement, and Housing. Each committee meets monthly. Learn more about LNA’s Committees, see meeting schedules, and review recent meeting minutes on our Committees and Projects page.
